How fantastic is this? Look what is happening in our community!

Samsung created a “Solve for Tomorrow” Contest, a nationwide competition that challenges students in grades 6-12 to use STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills to address local issues and inspire change in their communities. Our local 6th grade class at Holly Grove Middle School created a smart school bus stop sign to alert drivers before the bus arrives to help prevent pedestrian accidents. Their invention has been chosen as one of the ten national finalists in the competition, and they will head to New York City to pitch their invention today, April 1st. Three winners will be announced tomorrow, and each winner will win a $100,000 prize package! Plus, the winners head to Washington DC in May for a Final Event. Keep following our local kids at https://www.samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow/ to see if they have a winning invention! Go students!! They created this tremendous safe alert program right here in Holly Springs to use in our future subdivisions.
