Knightdale Environmental Education Park is located behind Town Hall and the library and offers a walking trail and boardwalk that lead to a pond where you can fish. You can also find art sculptures and picnic shelters at this park as well. Mingo Creek Park and Trails provides beautiful scenery for a nature walk through wetlands and hardwood forests. These trails also connect to about 30 miles of local greenways.

Since Knightdale is in such close proximity to Raleigh, there are limited options directly in town when it comes to shopping and dining, but there are still some great spots you can find. Oak City Brewing Company is a tap house, beer garden, and nano brewery located in the historic downtown area and backs up to Knightdale Station Park. It’s a popular place that is family and dog-friendly, and provides a great gathering spot to grab a drink or some food from their revolving selection of food trucks. Prime Barbecue is a mouth-watering treat for barbeque lovers. Their process begins by seasoning their meats with the perfect blend of spices before smoking it over 100% hardwood for hours upon hours, creating the delicious combination of smoke, flavor, and tenderness for which they are known. Knightdale also hosts a weekly Farmer’s Market that takes place every Saturday from May through October. A variety of vendors can be found selling produce, artwork, clothing, jewelry, and more. They also provide live entertainment and food trucks as well.
